Porcelain Laminate Veneers
What they are?
Laminate veneers are custom-made tooth-shaped shells that are permanently
bonded to your teeth. They can be used to correct or camouflage discolored,
damaged, or misaligned teeth. Laminates require a minimal amount of tooth
reduction, resulting in a more conservative restoration.
How they are made?
The fabrication and placement of porcelain veneers requires two appointments.
During the preparation appointment, the teeth are prepared to achieve
an optimal fit. An impression is then taken to make an exact replica of
the prepared tooth which facilitates the dental laboratory's fabrication
of the veneer. At the second appointment, your tooth will be conditioned
with a solution to prepare the surface for optimal bonding strength. The
veneer is then bonded into place using a tooth-colored material to achieve
a vibrant natural and healthy look. |
